Admission & Visa Process

Admission Process

  • English Language Proficiency:
    ◉ All popular English language tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE and DET are accepted for admission.
    ◉ Some universities in the UAE may accept a *Medium of Instruction (MOI) Letter from your college in your home country stating that the complete education was carried out in English. *Based on High School English Language Scores and/or a University Interview.
  • University Admissions: We help you select your program, shortlist CAA-accredited institutions and submit your application. We assist with documentation and your personal statement to secure an Offer Letter.
  • Document Attestation: Indian academic documents require a mandatory three-level attestation: State Board/University, then Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), then UAE Embassy in New Delhi. This process takes 3–6 weeks and should be started immediately after securing admission.
  • Pay Tuition Deposit: Accept your offer and pay the required tuition deposit or one-term fee to begin the visa process.

Visa Process

The UAE student visa is not applied at an embassy. Your university acts as your visa sponsor and manages the entire process on your behalf.

  • Entry Permit: Your university applies for a Student Entry Permit on your behalf. Standard processing takes 2-4 weeks.
  • Visa and Other Fees: Total government fees for the student residence visa, Emirates ID, and medical test typically range from AED 3,000 to AED 4,500, processed by your university on your behalf. Exact costs may vary.
  • Travel to UAE: Once your Entry Permit is issued, travel to the UAE. Do not travel on any other visa while your student visa is being processed.
  • Medical Test: A mandatory medical test must be completed at a UAE-approved medical centre within the first few days of arrival.
  • Biometrics & Emirates ID: Attend a biometrics appointment 7–10 business days after passing your medical test. Your Emirates ID will be issued thereafter.
  • Health Insurance: Mandatory for all students. Most universities arrange health insurance as part of the visa package.
  • Student Residence Visa: Your university completes the residence visa stamping in your passport. The student visa is valid for 1 year and renewable annually upon proof of continued enrolment.

Post-Study Work Visa

The UAE does not issue an automatic post-study work permit. Graduates have several flexible pathways to remain and work in the UAE such as: -

  • Job Seeker Visa (60 to 180 days): Allows graduates to remain in the UAE while actively searching for employment, without requiring an employer sponsor. Once a job offer is secured, the employer sponsors the full work residence visa.
  • Employer-Sponsored Work Visa: Once you secure a job offer, your employer sponsors your UAE work residence visa, valid for 2 years and renewable.
  • Green Visa (5 years): For skilled professionals and freelancers who meet income and qualification thresholds. Allows graduates to live and work in the UAE independently without employer sponsorship, renewable every 5 years.
  • Golden Visa (10 years): Awarded to outstanding graduates from UAE universities with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 - 3.8, or graduates from the world's top 100 universities. Provides long-term residency without employer sponsorship.
